Muddy Boggy Creek, also known as the Muddy Boggy River, is a 〔U.S. Geological Survey. National Hydrography Dataset high-resolution flowline data. (The National Map ), accessed June 3, 2011〕 river in southeastern Oklahoma. It is a major tributary of the Red River. ==Geography== Muddy Boggy Creek is located in the counties of Pontotoc, Hughes, Coal, Atoka, and Choctaw. It begins on the eastern edge of Ada, Oklahoma, and comes within of the Canadian River before turning southeast and passing through the Arkoma Basin and the western edge of the Ouachita Mountains. It is located in an area once known as the Cross Timbers.
